The Team Blast Fiat has had another consistent season in the Castle Combe saloon car championship.
One of only a handful of cars to start and finish all 8 races. In the hands of Occasional team member Daniel Burt, it also did 2 races in the Welsh saloon car championship ( held at Castle Combe )
The Combe series is SO popular that one occasions there were the maximum 42 cars on the grid, and in the high 30s the rest of the season.
This weekend just gone was the last round of the year, and Chris was determined to end on a high. He was entered in the Saloons vs Gts race, amongst some incredibly fast GT cars, including a V8 Mazda rx, Ginettas and a Mach 1 Mustang .
In Qualifying, Chris set his best time in 2 seasons, in the race after a great start, he settled into the race, perusing his great friend Ray Ferguson.
Despite having to make way for the top cars to lap him, Chris improved his PB again, to a 1m29.0. This was a thrilling end to the season, and finishing all 8 races.
Chris has this year been sponsored and supported by Avon valley adventure park, Abrahams the Jewellers, Infinity Exhausts, Miles Tea and coffee, Sodbury fuels,Taste buds Deli, and photographic Media Guys.
The Fiat has also given charity rides at Forge action day , working with Mission Motorsport, to assist injured service personnel. The pair will also be giving charity rides at Castle Combe, on 31st Oct ,working with the Stroke association on Supercar Saturday.
2016 may involve the Fiat again, but the car can be purchased for a great price, and if it is, may result in the purchase of a new car for the season . Chris would also like to thank his family and friends for their support, and a particular mention to his lovely, and ever supportive wife,Wendy. See you all again next season.
