Bell making steps to secure top 6th 10th finish at Oulton Park

Paul Bell who is a new driver on the challenging track with many other new faces competing to get on that podium step

Arriving to the circuit the sky was not exactly what i was hoping it to be with grey clouds and rain clouds forming. With the circuit being a demanding one it was clear i had to get focused in what i had todo for the weekend.

Practice session went well and getting use to the track with some challenging corners and braking points, but soon built up confidence in a matter of no time.

Starting in 6th place for the Race i could actually see the grid girls which made a nice change, and meant there was a possible chance of moving up the field.

I had a great start with little wheelspin and had sneaked into 3rd by the first corner, with a hard charging pack behind me.

Somewhere between the 2nd & 3rd corner a combination of cold rear slicks / running out of talent caused me to have a big moment on the exit of the corner, dropping me back into the pack.

Some other racing type stuff happened through the safety car interrupted race, resulting in me finishing in 10th position.

All in all a very strong race from us, showing we can run at the sharp end. Huge thanks to the Excelr8 Motorsport crew and my right hand man Adam, and crew chief Dave for believing in me and encouraging me to push harder.

Cant wait till Donington race in 4 weeks for more of the same from MINI CHALLENGE UK Thanks for reading my race ramblings
